OS Porting
The Bauer Group, an affiliated partner of Rose Technologies, has been Microsoft WinCE certified for many years. Rose Technologies provides various WinCE technology consulting, including the development of the WinCE Traditional Chinese & Japanese versions, WinCE porting, integration between software and hardware interface, and developing other general applications.
Rose Technologies also has Non-WinCE experience providing services implementing software systems for Palm-like OS and Command Loop. Supported CPUs include X86 series, Motorola 68K series, ARM series, MIPS series, 8051 series, and Z80.
Firmware Development
Device drivers for operating systems depend on the hardware requirements of the products. Rose Technologies has experience with device drivers for the following: keyboard, audio, Video(LCD), Touch Screen, Serial port, Modem, IrDA, Ethernet, Wireless LAN card, GSM, Flash memory(PCMCIA), MMC, IDE, SCSI, USB and Barcode readers.
Wireless LAN cards: Rose Technologies developed the WinCE device drivers for both Proxim and Aironet LAN cards.
Rose Technologies also provides hardware implementation and testing services for hardware manufactures during the development process.
Existing Software Technologies
- General applications for PDA and Electronic Organizers, address book, phonebook, etc.
- Electronic dictionary engine, font, vocabulary database, and input methods. Able to import other fonts and vocabulary databases from other manufacturers according to customer's needs.
- MP3 player capable of playing standard MP3 format music files supporting the ID3v2 standard. We also design toolkits for PCs with custom MP3 tag functions, which store extra text, graphics, or other information in MP3 format.
- Language Learning Software. Able to display and highlight song lyrics simultaneously as the song is played. Able to view song lyrics using a page down and page up function. Able to repeat a desired portion with a single click. Able to switch to electronic dictionary mode using a select text feature.
- Remote disease management web site, using Java applets, database, and server side applications for data collection.
- CTI. Inbound and Outbound call functions.

Current Development
Using the above technologies as foundations for integration between hardware, operating systems, and applications in developing IA products such as Handheld PCs, PDAs, Set Top Boxes, E-Books, Auto PC, Web Pad, Home Gateways, etc. At the same time, we are constantly expanding our knowledge with the latest technologies.
